Joshua Smith, Ph.D.
Co-Founder, Chairman of the Board
Joshua is an experienced entrepreneur with multiple start-ups in the IoT space as well as a professor jointly appointed in the Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering and the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington. Joshua holds a Ph.D. from the Physics & Media group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Scott Bright
Chief Executive Officer
Scott leads Jeeva’s commercialization initiatives and oversees business development, marketing, revenue and operations at Jeeva. Scott holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ohio University and an MBA from the University of Washington.
Shyam Gollakota, Ph.D.
Co-Founder, President
Shyam is an associate professor in the Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington where he leads the Networks and Mobile Systems Lab. He earned his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his B.Tech. degree from IIT Madras.
Vamsi Talla, Ph.D.
Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer
Vamsi oversees all aspects of technology development at Jeeva. Prior to co-founding Jeeva, Vamsi earned his Ph.D. and completed the Technology Entrepreneurship Certificate (TEC) program at the University of Washington.
Aaron Parks, Ph.D.
Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer
Aaron is responsible for product strategy and development at Jeeva with a deep background in low-power wireless and system design. Aaron was awarded a 2015 Google Ph.D. fellowship for his work on ambient backscatter and radio harvesting. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Washington.
Bryce Kellogg
Co-Founder and Director of Engineering
Bryce is responsible for planning, development and deployment of software backbone and services at Jeeva. Bryce received a dual Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering and completed his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.
Aishwarya Lincoln Choppara
Digital Design Engineer
Aishwarya is responsible for the development, implementation and testing of logic systems for Jeeva products. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from India and a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Ryan Rogel
Sr. RF & Hardware Design Engineer
Ryan is responsible for RF System and PCB design, along with RF testing and firmware development. He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from UW Seattle with a focus in Wireless Communications, and a M.S.E.E. in RF circuit design from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He had worked at E*Trade, Sandia Labs, Silicon Labs, Ossia, and NEXT Biometrics before joining the the team at Jeeva Wireless.
Tremaine Ng
Hardware Engineer
Tremaine works on electronic hardware design and big-picture integration, from writing code to organizing meetings across different teams. Tremaine holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.
Matthew Dillingham
Engineering Technician
Matthew is an experienced engineering technician, with a history at Texas Instruments and other highly proficient workplaces. He brings PCB layout skills, soldering talent, and lab management ideas that boost the productivity of the Jeeva hardware team.
Jonathan Hamberg
Firmware Engineer
Jonathan’s rigorous and experienced approach to development has contributed to robust toolchains, continuous integration workflows, and well-architected systems that have become models for all engineering projects at Jeeva. Jonathan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.
Anthony Weinand
Hardware Design Engineer
Anthony is Jeeva’s antenna specialist with responsibility for RF system design, simulation, and testing. He also designs and prints enclosures and fixtures and does some PCB layout. Anthony hails from Seattle and received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Gonzaga University.
Matthew Phan
Software Engineer
Matthew works primarily on front-end applications including demos, phone apps, and web apps. Matthew has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from the University of Washington, Bothell.
Kristofer Hunt
Director of Business Development
Kristofer leads Jeeva’s customer and business development initiatives. Kristofer worked in management consulting focused on supply chain optimization before joining Jeeva, and holds a BA in Economics from Willamette University and an MBA from the University of Washington.
