Hardware Systems Integration Engineer

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Jeeva is looking for a hardware systems integration engineer to join our core product development team. You will primarily be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing hardware on printed circuit boards and flexible substrate. Additionally, you will also work with cross-functional groups on hardware-software integration and test, verify and document the final wireless communication product delivered to the customers. You will be part of a small but fast-moving engineering team with significant existing design expertise and high expectations.

The position requires strong communication and the ability to think outside the box. In addition to the skills listed below, an ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and be excited and motivated to build wireless communication systems for new high-impact IoT applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience with schematic design and layout of embedded board-level design such as integrating micro-controllers, power management, sensors and I/O devices.
  • Experience in digital or mixed-signal design principles including designs using processors, FPGAs, operational amplifiers, and filters.
  • Experience working with drivers for various communication protocols (especially USB, SPI, I2C and UART), system-level integration, and low power design.
  • Hands on experience in prototype bring-up, debugging and functional verification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with design, architecture and layout of high frequency RF front ends, RF components such as matching networks, waveguides, directional couplers and radio systems on Printed Circuit Boards.
  • Experience with design, simulation and testing of antennas.
  • Embedded C, C++ familiarity and development experience with MSP430/ARM microcontrollers or similar platforms
  • Experience with wireless SoCs (Wi-Fi, BLE) and working with networked devices (Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, etc).

Senior RF & Hardware Design Engineer

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for an experienced RF hardware design engineer to join our core team to lead the design, certification and production of Jeeva’s wireless products. This role will involve RF/hardware design, test and optimization of transceivers using both standard topologies and some exiting novel topologies. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and testing RF front ends for a unique wireless device and work with vendors and partners to deploy devices at scale. You will be part of a small but fast-moving team with significant existing RF expertise and high expectations.

In addition to the skills listed below, the ideal candidate should be excited and motivated to be building wireless communication systems for new high-impact applications of the Internet of Things. The position requires proven experience, strong communication and management skills and ability to think outside the box. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in RF design, testing and validation.
  • Well-versed in DFM practices and BOM cost optimization.
  • Experience with design, architecture and layout of high frequency RF front ends and radio systems on Printed Circuit Boards.
    • Examples: IoT gateway design, Wireless SoCs, SDR implementations.
  • Expertise in blocker and interference mitigation techniques in design of PCBs.
  • Experience with design of board level RF components including microstrip lines, coplanar waveguides, directional couplers, etc.
  • Experience with design of discrete and distributed matching networks, e.g., between antenna and PA/ LNA.
  • Experience with FCC and/or other certification processes.
  • Experience with RF design and layout software such as Altium, ANSYS HFSS, CST, ADS.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with testing and validation of high frequency/RF application specific integrated circuits (ASIC).
  • Experience with design, simulation and testing of antennas.
  • EMI/RFI design and testing experience.
  • Experience with Radar and/or RFID systems.

Wireless Firmware Engineer

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Jeeva is looking for a wireless firmware engineer to join the technical team. You will primarily be responsible for the design, implementation and testing of wireless systems using wireless SoC’s, FPGAs, DSPs and/or software-defined radios. You will be working as a part of a cross-functional group in developing the next generation of the low power wireless systems. You will be part of a small but fast-moving engineering team with significant existing design expertise and high expectations.

The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to think outside the box. In addition to the skills listed below, the ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and be excited and motivated to build wireless communication systems for new high-impact IoT applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of wireless communication fundamentals such as signal propagation, multi-path, interference, link budget analysis, etc.
  • Experience with software defined radios, FPGAs and wireless SoCs (Wi-Fi, BLE).
  • Familiarity with physical layer protocols (FSK, O-QPSK, FSK, OFDM, etc.), channel estimation techniques and multi-antenna topologies such as MIMO.
  • Embedded C, C++ familiarity and development experience with MSP430/ARM microcontrollers, software radios or similar platforms.
  • Hands on experience in prototype bring-up, debugging and functional verification.
